Ken Minturn

Ken Minturn is an experienced entrepreneur and operator with 7+ years of experience in the startup and legal worlds.

Prior to founding Minturn Ventures, Ken spent 4 years as a corporate attorney at Troutman Pepper (formerly Pepper Hamilton) focusing on private company merger and acquisition transactions and advising startups and emerging growth companies and investors. Juggling multiple deals with competing timelines, Ken is adept at prioritizing for the critical tasks and managing a diverse team of specialists to ensure deals are completed efficiently and on time while also ensuring each client is provided the highest quality advice.

Prior to joining Troutman Pepper (formerly Pepper Hamilton), Ken launched his own company (Kenji, Inc.) to develop a digital marketplace for legal services and advised private healthcare practices with HITECH Act compliance and risk assessments. Through both of these experiences Ken has learned critical lessons and gained valuable experience with what it takes to run your own business successfully.

Ken has an MBA from the Manderson Graduate School of Business at the University of Alabama and a JD from the University of Alabama School of Law. He also holds a BA from Emory University, where he majored in economics and history. He loves spending time with family whether on the beaches of Florida, hills of North Carolina or heartland of Indiana (where he grew up), and is an avid traveler, Alabama football fan, and (formerly) swimmer and olympic weightlifter.
